Frequently asked questions
Is ORCA 866 fabric right for my RIB?
Yes, if your boat is over 6 m long, or if it is used professionally or intensively, whatever its size. For a tender or a smaller leisure RIB, ORCA 828 is often enough.
Hypalon or PVC: what is the difference?
Hypalon (CSM/CR) withstands UV, heat, fuel and abrasion better than PVC. It is the material used on professional RIBs and on boats used in the sun all year round. It is bonded with a two-part neoprene adhesive, never with PVC glue.
Which glue should I use with this fabric?
ORCA® Glue neoprene adhesive mixed with ORCA® Hardener. This combination gives a durable bond on a Hypalon tube.
