NEWTON or TWIST: which valve should I choose?

ValveDimensionsFeaturesColours
NEWTON (ref. 6268, this page) Ø 55 mm, height 50 mm Compact, 35 mm hole, cage closed at the bottom, silicone seals Black, grey
TWIST (ref. 6116) Ø 62 mm, height 45 mm Twist knob Black, grey

To replace a valve, the simplest option is to use the same model, or a valve with the same diameter as the one fitted.

Replacing a tube valve

  1. Fully deflate the compartment before starting.
  2. Note the model and measure the diameter of the fitted valve: the new valve must match its housing.
  3. A leaking valve does not always need replacing: first check its seal and tightness, and clean its seat.
  4. For a damaged housing or fitting on a new tube, call on an ORCA partner repairer.

Frequently asked questions

What pressure should the tube be inflated to?

To the pressure given by your boat's manufacturer, usually between 200 and 250 mbar (about 3 to 3.6 psi). To protect the tube from overpressure, in the sun or after over-inflation, add a CEREDI pressure relief valve.

Black or grey?

Both versions are identical. Choose the colour of your other valves or of your tubes.

All our valves are in the inflation and pressure relief valves collection.
